Alana completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in International Studies and Politics in 2013, and a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) in 2017 at Monash University. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The Australian National University.
During her studies Alana worked as a paralegal at a multinational automotive company, and completed internships with the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law and Environmental Justice Australia. Whilst completing her legal training with Stary Norton Halphen she also volunteered at Fitzroy Legal Service.
